WHITE SLAVES.
WEALTH*! BEEN ACCUSED. IMPLICATIONS EXPECTED. : LOS ANGELES, April 30. , Extraordinary evidence was given yesterday by witnesses before the committee which is inquiring into the white clave traffic The witnesses declared that wealthy men and not women were the principal white slavers. It is believed that the inquiry will result in implicating many rich Californians. Mr E. Fleming, formerly District Attorney, said that if the people knew of the extent of existing immorality and the operations of conscienceless women and blackmailers they would rise up in arms.
