CRICKET.
TOUR OP AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUUCH, Tuesday. At a meeting of tho New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, Mr T. W. Ueese, suggested that a New Zealand team should visit Australia during 11)13-14 season, aud outlined the following matches:—l'lay Auckland before leaving, theu play Newcastle, Toowoomba, Queensland, liathurst. NewSouth Wales, Gonlburn, Victoria. Ballarat. or Bendigo, and ngalust two South Melbourne clubs; on return to New Zealand play Wellington. Mr Keese suggested a minimum guarantee of f."iU from each association. He estimated the receipts at £700 at least, aud that the expenditure would not exceed £SOO. The team should consist of 14 players, including n manager. It was eventually decided to send a team to Australia provided satisfactory financial arrangements can bo made. It was suggested that Auckland. Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago should guarantee £73 each. Dr. Orchard gave notice of motion that Southland's request to play in riunket shield matches should be granted.
