WAIKATO FAT LAMBS.
A RECORD PRICE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. .The iambs which wefe shown it the Waikato A. and P. Association's show at dandelands, in November last; and {Hen frozen and shipped to London to be judged there as to their suitability for the English trade, arrived bj the" Rotorua, and were sold by AVeddell and Go., on behalf of the Association. In a re-' port they state: "You will observe ffom : the account sales that the. Show; lambs . brought 7}d per lb. Small wonder that we received so flattering an account of them when they were judged liy our meat salesmen j as the prices obtained by Weddell and Co. must easily constitute __ record price for fat lambs from, tbe' dijtrict." It is to be hoped tbat the results obtained will be a spur to growers' of fat lambs to pay careful attention to breeding arid' fattening. I'hife can be iro question that Such result* must leave a handsome return on the outlay.
