GENERAL LABOURERS' DISPUTE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The general labounors' dispute, between the Union and employers (including local bodies) again came before the Conciliation Council to-day. In the course of a. lengthy discussion, the union .scerotary, Mr. Rcardon, stated that an agreement hud been arrived yit \viLli the Wellington City Corporation, ami it only remained 'for it to be endorsed by the union. • Mr. Fergtison (Wellington Gas Company) sought to ob-taiu details of the arrangement, but Mr. Reardon was not inclined to disclose them. The employers' representatives raised the point that their dntßDests 1 might be prejudierally affected by any agreement entered into privaiely, and of which -they had no cognisance. After consultation I/a Committee, Mr. Ihvtloy (Commissioner) announced that the general feeling- was that local bodies should not lie struck out of the list of •the paTtJps coiu-er/ned.
