In. connection .with invercargill band contest, the following bands have notified that 7 they, yyjll.. compete:.—Lyttelton Marine, Blenheim 10 th Regimental," Napier City, St. Kilda',. Gore, Ashburton -Temperance,.. Wintoii, and three Invercargill bands, while others have not replied yet. , The committee decided'to proceed with the contest, and approach the South-Tslarid Bands Association to procure music It was "also decided "to ask the secretary of the association to make arrangements that quickstep music should be the "Own Choice"* selection. Lieutenant Wade, of Wangahui,7 was recommended to the association as adjudicator.
