MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. $Mj New Sylvia.—The reef at No. 2. level has • been picked up through the break, and- IB of fair value, and about 3ift In width. In the rise at No. 3 level the reef Is 3ft ! wide and well mineralised. Flvo stopes are being worked, with good-looking quartz to each and gold is seen occasionally. The reef in the stopes at the Intermediate level averages sft, and' Is heavily mineralised. One stope is going on the No. 1 reef at tlie , battery level, with 3ft or quartz. The low level Is in good country, Hauraki Reefs. —'The general dirt should crush woll. No. 1 reef, at the; battery level, shows 3ft of quartz. Tho low level Is In good country. 'Wi Haurakl Reefs.—Sixteen pounds ot picked stone are on hand, and the general manager states that the general ore saved should crush well. At the old No. 2 level, the reef Is beginning to make good, rock again. A rise has been started up under the run of gold got In the old No. 2 level. During the week some strong gold was seen In the quartz broken. From the main stopes a //;■ lair amount of crushing dirt was got, also a little picked stone. Occidental. —In the stope over No. 6 level the ore broken has shown dabs of gold, and should turn out good general ore. In tua ' south face. No. C level; the face is a strong body of ore, and some of that broken showed gold freely. A few pieces of picked stone were selected. The stopes above No. 5 level are yielding good ore, and strong * gold is showing in the back. In the flinty crosscut a milder class of country appears to be coming in, and several quartz leaders are crossing the face. Golden Belt.—The crosscut in the wall o{ the Perseverance reef has passed through - somp nice stringers. The reef Is up to 61n, and three pounds ot picked [Stone were got- Two stopes art being worked In the north block. The reef is up to 4in, and has yielded seven pounds of good picked stone.
