Endean's Buildings, occupying a prom- | ment position on the water front at the eastern corner of Queen Street and Quay I Street, was a large brick and mortar 'structure of about live storeys, having a frontage of about 90 feet to each of the streets named. The ground floor was taken up by shops a-s follows: fronting Queen Street —Ifeihiby and Co. (retail branch butcher's shop), Ocetanic Fish Company's shop. Stone and Co. j E. Wilson ('fruiterer and confectioner): corner shop, "The Clob|bery" (clothing store). W. S. Meldrum, i (tailor); McNuroara (hairdresser anil j tobacconist). ; The lirst tloor, where the caretaker's quarters were also situated, was occui piod by the surgeries of the Eondon DenItal Company, and by Fountain's luncheon rooms and restaurant. The second and third floors were divi|ded up into offices, on the former 1 being occupied by Mr. Lockie Gannon, Ford Shipping Company, M.r. E. Ford. It. O. Clark, Ltd., Mr." H.
