NO REPLY TO ULTIMATUM. (Ey Telegraph. —Special to " Star") WELLINGTON, this day. No further developments have occurred in the engineers' dispute, but events are expected to happen rapidly within the next few days. The Union Company has not yet replied to .{the ultimatum, which Mr. Wallace, the engineers' general secretary, assures mc. is no bluff. "Xo person." he adds, " can truthfully say it has not been out policy to work amicably with the company and put it to no inconvenience." Mr. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, has actively concerned himself in the matter to-day, the Union Company having referred the dispute to the Council. The engineers have not decided upon assessors. If they refuse to nominate assessors this can be done by the Governor.
