CHICKEN-HEARTED COOLIES.
PANIC CAUSES ROUT. (Received 5.20 a.m.) CALCI TTA. February 25. The repulse of the military police by Uie Naga tribesmen was due to the Naga nen rushing the baggage coolies in the Mar of the force. The codlies were seized with panic, and droppmg their loads, clung to the Sepoys. Many of the Sopo.-g, hampered in this way. were unable to '.ire. -Reinforeem.nit> have been dispatched.

Nine coolie bearers were killed and twenty-seven wounded. Among the bepoys four were killed and five wounded.
