NORTHERN , UNION FOOTBALL. Mr D. >W. .McLean, president of the New Zealand Football League, has received advice from Mr S. B. Hougbton, that the committee of the English Northern Union have decided that "No team outside a team governed by the Northern Union would be allowed to tour Australia and New Zealand." Thie is in reference to the proposaf which emanated from Sydney, that a team be broug-ht out under private enterpri«e. Mr Hought'on further statfs that the committee had decided to grant no more transfers to Colonial players, unless permission was givpn by the colonial authorities, and then only under special circumstances.
