THEIK RELATION TO PROFITS.
A NATIONAL BOARS. LOXDOX, February 7. The Council nf the Miners' Federation has drafted a scheme for the establishment (if a wages board. The .'che-.ne proposes that one board should regulate th? waprs on all the coalfields in (Jreat Britain and form a national wapes agreement based on the earning capacity of the collieries. This would involve an inquiry by the workmen as to the profits of the companies, the post of production, the selling prior, and the volume of trade and the cost of living to workmen. It is proposed in the scheme that a sufficient minimum wage to meet the necessities of a workman and his family should be a first charge upon the industry. The federation will come to a final decision on the matter when the majority of the existing atrreements expire.
