AN APPEAL.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you allow mc to appeal to the workers of Auckland for some slight assistance in helping mc with my expenses in connection with St. Helens inquiry? So far I have paid every penny out of my own pocket, as -well as fighting their battle in Court. .Physically I am nearly done; financially, 1 am quite done. It requires but a small 3um now for mc to tie end of the inquiry, but financially I can go no further. I ara sure Mr. Horning, secretary of the Painters' Union, -would receive the few shillings required at the Trades Hall. —I am, etc. EMILY NICOL.
