Then Hon. Dr. Pomare left for Wellington by the express yesterday. Mr George Hogben (Inspector-General of Schools) arrived from the Thames yesterday to attend the University Senate. He is staying at the Central Hotel. Mr T. M. Ale_tnder, the well-laiowh yachtsman, left by the express for Wellington last night for the purpose of bringing up the Aorangi to AucklandMr Grey Thorne George was a passenger by the. Maloja yesterday. He will spend some months in En gland and on tbe Continent. "
