He ran second to a handicap competitor, being beaten by ."■lrds in 14 l-ss. The champion was assisted by a following bree-»,e. so no claim for official re'oognitkm of the figures will be made. That Keddell Is getting Into great form for the New Zealaul Champions—ps at Wellington next month, is evidenced by rhe fact that he also won a rw-at in the 100 yds handicap in in 1-Ss from soratch, and covered -Ift. -tin. in the broad jump.
