MOTOR BANDITS ESCAPE.
ATTEMPTED MURDER OF A*S ANARCHIST. Lacombe, a motor car bandit who killed a railway servant at Lea Aubrais. near Orleans, some weeks ago, committed another daring outrage in Paris early ou December 3rd. He farced his way into the lodgings of an Anarchist named JOucret and shot him with a Browning pistol, afterwards escaping. Ducret lies in hospital in a grave condition. Ducret lived in the Passage de Clichy, an alley known to be an Anarchist centre. The police some days ago believed that Lacombe was in hiding in the passage, and surrounded tt with 300 men, supported by horse and foot guards. Lacombe, however, was not captured. Dacret has since been warned by friends that his Anarchist comrades accused him of having "given away" Lacombe to the police, and bad therefore "sentenced him to death." About six o'clock in the morning a knock was heard at tie door of Ducrefs house. His wife went downstairs and opened the door. A man, holding a pistol in each hand, rushed past her into Ducrefs room, and shouted, ''You have sold our comrades; death is the penalty." Five reports were heard In rapid succession, and then the man fled. Two shots took effect, one in the neck and the other in the breast. Ducret at one time edited the "Idee Libre," the organ of a Terrorist association founded by the Paris motor car bandits Bonnot and Gamier.
