25,000 TROOPS DIE. CHOLEBA. STAMPED OUT. CONSTANTINOPLE, December 28. Twenty-five thousand Turkish soldiers have died from disease at Chataldja. Cholera has disappeared from the army. Ihere are still some cases of dysenter'v, and 10 per cent of these are proving fatal. The mosque of St. Sofia has been cleared of the deserters who were interned there, and the building has been uisinfected. Seven hundred of tlie deserters have died in the mosque. The Turkish officers are returning to Chataldja owing to complaints from the troops, who have objected to being exposed on the bleak uplands, while the officers are amusing themselves in Constantinople.
