Tne Grey Lynn Borough Connc.il held the final meeting of the jeai last night, when there were present Councillors G. 'J. Garlaad (who presided in the absence of the Mayor), W. Donald, H. Schofleld. J. A- Warnock. E. J. Carr, J. W. Tattersfield, ana F. Brlnsden. Statutory ECalf-floliday.— Conncfflor Donald was authorised to attend the conference of delegates on the 22nd January, ISI3, for the purpose of nxing tbe statutory ballholiday. Valnatkra of the Borough,— Tbe Govern ment "Valuer having notified that he could not undertake the valuation of the borough, it was resolved that Mr F. G. Ewington be asked what the cost would be ot making a valuation In company with the Town Clerk. Tenders.—Only one tender was received for the formation, of a portion of BeaconsHeld Street and Campbell Road, that of Hector Fraser, £205 16/8. This was accepted, subject to the approval of the Boronsh Engineer. Drainage Worte.—A report was submitted from the Mayor to the effect that contract No. 13 of the Auckland City- and Suburban Brainage scheme, was now well in hand, 440 ft of excavation having been done, and a shaft opened at Motion's Creek. The Acting-Mayor said the Engineer expected that everything would !>e ready for Grey Lynn to connect with the main sewer in about 24 months. ' The ConneH adjourned until Jannarj27th of 1913.
