THE SYNOD PROGRAMME. This evening at eight a missionary meeting is to be held at the Choral Hall. The Bishop will preside, and his Lordship will be supported iiaon the platform by many Synodsmen representative of the clergy and the laity. A garden party is to be tendered on Saturday afternoon by Bishop and Mrs Crossley, and on Sunday specially appointed preachers will occupy the pulpit at St. Mary's Cathedral —the Rev. C. J. Merton, home missioner at Kaitaia, in the morning, and the Rev. E. M. Cowie, M.A., vicar of Hamilton, in the evening. The business of the Synod during the forthcoming week will commence on Monday with conference proceedings at 10.30 a.m., prior to which Holy Communion will be celebrated and breakfast with the Bishop partaken of.
