HAWKE'S BAY SHOW.

The weather was perfect for the people's day at the Hawke's Bay Annual Spring Show to-day- There was an attendance of 15,000, an Increase on last year, and the predominance of tlie farming cummnntty present evidenced the growth of Mie rural population In this district or late years. The Governor (who Is the guest <if Mr. G. P. Donnelly) arrived at noon, nnd was welcomed by the president (Mr. T. It. l.invry) His Excellency was afterwards entertained at luncheon by the officers of the Society. In the course of his reply to the toast of his health, Lord Islington said the stock be had seen here compared favourably with tJi«befit the Old Country could produce.
