TOWN HALL CONCERT.
A very tine programme has l)poii nrepared for the upeeial ceneert which is to be given in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening n*xt. The programme will include selections from "The. Messiah," "Elijah,* , "Creation." and "Golden Legend/ by the Choral Society; selections by the Liederta/ei, vocal solos by Mrs Ernest Barber, Miss Stella McLean, Mr Barry Coney, and organ solo.-, by Mr H. G. Dutton, and a special feature of this musical -programme will be that all the numbers will have organ accompaniment, which -will add charm to the impressive choruses from the oratorios. The proceeds from this concert will go towards purchasing instruments in pitch with the organ, as at. present it is impos-! sible, owing to the variance of. pitch, to utilise the organ with an orchestra. The complete programme appears in another column, and special attention is drawn to the very reasonable price of admission. As the promoters are confident that a large audience will be present, intending patrons are. urged to reserve seats' at Wdldinan and Axey'a, where the < box plan is now on view.
