THE LICENSING POLL.

TOTING PAPERS TO BE ALTERED. (By ■Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A deputation representing the National Council of the liquor trade waited on Mr. Massey this morning, asking for an amendment of the voting paper in regard to national prohibition, in order that an honest expression of opinion might be obtained at the polls. They asked that the two issues should be altered to reads "I vote for national continuance," and "I vote for national prohibition." Mr. Massey did not think the Government could do anything in the matter this session. The position would be made quite clear before another poll was taken.
