SUGARWORKERS' CONDITIONS.

(Received 12.55 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. In the House of Representatives to-day the attention of Mr Tudor (Minister for Customs) was directed to a published statement that as a result of the scale of wages and conditions which Mr Tudor had intimated was acceptable regarding the sugar industry, 1,500 men had already been discharged. Would he reconsided his attitude? Mr Tudor replied that he had received no representations that employees were losing employment on account of the scale and conditions.
