<B_r Partraroentary Reporter.) WEIIiINGTON,.this day. GRADUATED TAX PROPOSALS. The second reading of two local .bills stand as the first business on the order paper to-day. following which the Hon. Jas. Allen will move the second reading of the Land Income Assessment Amendment Bill. This bill contains the Government's graduated land tax proposals, and will probably lead to a long and interesting debate occupying in all likelihood the remainder of the day's sitting. The measures next in order are the Gold Duty Amendment Bill, Wanganui Bridge ATnendment Bill, and Waihou and Ohinenmri Rivers Improvement Amendment Bills, all for second reading.
