ROBBERY UNDER ARMS.
A HEW TORE HIGHWAYMAN.

NEW YORK, July 30. In broad daylight to-day a shopkeeper named Morris Schwartzkoff was shot and so severely wounded that he died shortly after, and a neighbour named Maxwell Katz was seriously wounded. Raymond Forbey, alias Clark, a man with a criminal record, is charged with both the crimes. He was captured in a cellar by two policemen at the point of the revolver.
Both victims identified Forbey as their assailant.
Forbey called at Schwartzkoff's store and argued over repairs to a watch. Tie shot his victim in the neck, and then called at Katz's cigar store and began shooting. Katz grappled with him. and was wounded three times.
Forbey is believed to be. concerned with two others in the murder of Walter Meseritz in February. He gave the name of Walter Brooks, and pleaded not guilty.
