OPERA HOUSE. The present vaudeville programme at the Opera House will tie submitted tcnnlght for the Jast time. It has been "Witnessed by big audiences irigbt through the week. THE DANDIES. There v.as again a big audience at the Town Hall last night, when that delightfully "merry and bright' company of. entertainers who call themselves "The Dandies" submitted a change of programme. There appears to he no Immediate fear that "The Dandies" will outstay their welcome in Auckland; on the contrary, their popularity is growing every day. The experience last night was similar to that of previous nigjits— item was encored, and in many instances double encores had to be given before the audience could be quietened down, if not satisfled. The trios, quartets and choruses were again a charming feature of the original entertainment given by these genial people, but the fndtvidnal members of the company have each won their way into the affections of the public, and from each insistent demands for more were made on every occasion. Miss Evelyn Ward tcontraltok Miss Hilda Lane (soprano), and Miss Irene Vere (the sparkling little soubrette> were beard in a budget of new songs, the list of which, to craieten the clamourtngs of the audience, was considerably longer than was at first submitted. Then Mr. (iavin Wood ami Mr. Oliver Peacock, the bass and baritone respectively, also submitted new attractions from th*rir extensive repertoire, while Mr. Clande 1 (ampler and Mr. George Morgan, both admirable humorists, kept the audience in a simmer of merriment all the time. Mr. Leonard Griffiths played the ac-1 companiments with tile artistic sympathy that Invariably characterises his work on the piano. The Dandies will appear again to-night. PICTURE ENTERTAINMENTS.
