SUDDEN' DEATH AT DEVONPORT
■ — — A young man named Clarence Lambert Woodward, aged 31 years, was found dead in bed by his brother at his parents' residence. Burgess Road!, yesterday. The deceased, who at one time was employed as an attendant in a training stable at Ellerslie, has been complaining for some time, but would not consult a doctor. D*". Atkinson, who was called in after the discovery yesterday, could only pronounce life extinct, but under .the circumstances was unable to certify as to the cause of death. The matter was reported to the coroner, (Mr. T. Gresham). who decided an inquest was necessary, and it was proceeding at the Masonic Hotel' this afternoon. ____________________
