The second monthly meeting was held n't the Amateur Sports Club's room, on Friday evening, Mr. C. 15. Major (president) iv the chair. The exhibits of New Zeala-ml series by some of the _lexa.bers occupied the evening. Mrs. J. Kenderdine showed her excellent and very line collection < which won 'the gold medal sit Sydney last year). The president showed "sheave-" of half-lengths "and such like," which had been evidently slumbering for years past in some old books and envelopes. Mr. Green-hough made a -t-rong exhibit of several sheets of panes of four, used aud unused. Tho hon. -ecretaTy also exhibited 30 sheets. COSTLET HOME CONCEBT. On Friday evening a comedietta, entitled "Our Junior .:_r__n. -its given at -the Costley Home, and "was enjoyed very much by the patients. The solos were 'taken by Mtes Dora Howard and Miss Mercy Davis and .Master Romney. Each of the <__ldr_u also <-ontrfb-ted solos. The second part of .the -programme was given as follows: 'Japloo Baby," by Misses Davis and Howard; comic song (ehcor_d), by -Mr. Pe_rce: solo. -Mr. Robertson; duet, Misses Partridge and Howard; and .reel._«___ by Misses Flora and Dora H.ldsworth. There was a lfli'ge audience present, the chair being occupied by tbe Rev. T. O. Carr. and the lecturer's description of his travels was listened to with rapt attention. On the motion of the chairman. Mr. Beecroft was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. ONEHUNGA BEAUTIFYING ASSOCIATION. A meeting was held last night In the Borough Council Chambers at Onehunga, when it was derided to form a Beautifying ] Association. Mr. John Rowe (the Mayori was In the chair.
