AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Metropolitan Committee was held yesterday afternoon, the Hon. D. Mitchelson in the chair. The following were granted licenses till August 31 next: — Trainers: D. I*. 'Moraghan, J. Williamson. J. Rae. Jockeys: V. Coleman, B. Deeley, .1. 0. E. Jones', A. J. McFlinn. Gentleman rider: Mr Wm. Hicks. The programme of the Walpa Racing Club for August 21 was approved. A.R.C. COMMITTEE. At a meeting of the A.R.C. Committee, held subsequently, the following transfers were passed: —T. Sheenan to J. Hymers. b i g, lvr, by Martian —Greek Maid: W. Walters to F. E. Ross, br c. lyr, by SouW— Lady Musket: John Buckley to R. Green, b c, by Aye Aye. It was decided to get plans and specifications- for various alterations and Improvements at the course,, and to put the work In hand as soon as possible. The con- , sideration of the club's programme for next j season was deferred. In response to the committee's unanimous : request, and in view of contemplated important works to be carried out at EllersHe, the Hon E. Mitchelson assented to his again being nominated for the office of presielent. Mr 11. T. Gorrie has consented , to renoralnation tor the position of vice- , president of the club. j
