MAINTENANCE CASES.
A small list of maintenance and matrimonial cases was dealt with by Me. C. jC. Kettle, K.M., at the Magistrate's Court this morning. TWO MONTHS' GAOL. Elizabeth Perry, re.preseirtcd by Mr. Wyman, proceeded against Michael Perry in respect to .til oi arrears of inarrctenancc of his four children. It was explained that at the last sitting of the Supreme Court the complainant was granted a decree nisi, with custody of the i children, but the arrears of nraurtenanco under «v previous separation order were still outstanding. Mr. Ma&tbeWß appeared and explained thai Berry had insbruoted him to defend, birt had since disappeared, and. the was reason to believe that be had left the Dominion ■by the last Sydney boats For disobeying the maintenance order Perry was sentenced to two months' hard labour, and a warrant for his arrest was ordered to -be isucd forthwith. VARYING AN ORDER. Mrs. Lucy Campbell (Mr. Schnauer) applied for a variation of a maintenance order against her husband, Angus Campbell, by which the payments for three oi his four .children should be increased from 7/6 to 10/ a week each. The husband did not appear, but counsel stated that ■ he had consented to the variation, which , was made accordingly. COUL/aKT PAY.
