CAREFUL BOY BURGLARS.
.FOUND WEARING KID GLOVES.
__c captnre of two boy burglars, who, it was said, had with them a complete set of •burglars' tools, and wore kid gloves to avoid leaving finger-marks, was told at Huddersfield on Monday, May 6( when Alfred Phillips, aged 16, and Walter Phillips, aged 14, were remanded charged with officebreaking. The boys, it was said, confessed to several burglaries.
■Mr Morton <the chief constable) said that a police-constable found a door open leading to the offices of Messrs F. Ashton, Riley, and Co., boilermakers, Manchester-road.
The constable pushed, the door open, and on getting into the passage found a -large plate glass panel broken out of one of the inner doors. On entering the office he found the two prisoners, and they had with them a set of -burglar's -tools which would have done credit to a first-class burglar. They had two jemmies, one iron saw, one lock saw, a screw driver, a brace and bit. a -bicycle lamp, and an electric flash lamp. Indeed, said Mr. Morton, they had everything that comprised a -burglar's outfit, except a revolver and a crape mask. When the constable surprised the prisoners, who were wearing kid glove., the younger was standing near to a roller desli. apparently trying to open it with a small chisel, and was working by the light of a bicycle lamp.
The elder of the prisoners was kneeling down underneath the desk, and near kirn ■was a po_er__l _-nna__
