MAN DROPS DEAD.

AN OLD ONEHUNGA RESIDENT.

Mr George Wadman, an old resident of Onehunga, died suddenly this morning at Te Pa papa under circumstances necessitating au inquest. At about 7.30 he was leading a calf along the road near Te. Papapa railway station, when he was seen to fall to the ground. Two passers-by ,picked him up and sent at once forDr Tresidder, who could only pronounce life extinct. The death was reported to the police, and arrangements were made for an inquest this afternoon. Mr Wadman, who was about 70 years of age. had been an engineer, and had charge of the pumping station when the Onehunga water supply was first started some 25 years ago. He leavei a widow and grown-up family.
