In the House of Commons to-day Mr. Austen Chamberlain moved a resolution declaring that Mr. McKenna's action in connection with the strike was unconstitutional, and that tbe Government's constant interferences were fomenting unrest. The appeal of Messrs. Gosling and Till.t to trade unionists declares that all spare funds have been depleted. Leggatt (secretary of tbe London Carmen's Union) was arrested for interfering with a non-unionist driver. He was fined £2 or a month, and chose imprisonment. The British Seafarers' Union has joined the strike.
