Rising Sun.—The iow level tunnel is along ini)2ft. The country continues favourable, and the last 300 ft of driving is th» best passed through. A quartz leader 3ln wide, which crossed the line of the tunnel at a long angle, and struck off into the western Wall, has been cut through. This leader is encased in blocky andesite .country, and the ore has a promising appear* a nee, and shows no nice prospects of free gold by mortar test.
