DECISION OF NEW ASSOCIATION. Frost presided over an attendance of ahoot twenty . members. | Last week -the matter was discussed by representatives of the three bodies concerned, and the following resolutions were I carried, for submission to general meetings of the three bodies:— lit That In the interest of the Rugby game it is desirable i that the two associations amalgamate: (21 I that the association be called the Auckland : Rugby Referees' Association: 13) that in i the amalgamation tie date of the original \ formation of the Auckland Referees Ass.v i ciation be retained: 44) that the list of marches each week be submitted to the Referees' Association, the names of referees nominated by the sub-committee of the Referees' Association to be submitted by its representative to the appointment board: (.->> that the mles of both associations be revised and new rules formulated; (6) that an election of off— take place. Mr. Frost expat etl the feelings which had actuated the jdj aference in arriving at these resolutions, which he then submitted to the meeting. The first resolution, affirming -the desirability of a-malgamation, was discussed at length, and the following amendment was carried: - "That this association feels that any alteration in its constitution at the present -time would not be in the -best interests lof the game. At the same time, it t»ro;----ni.:e-; the loss football is sustaining in the a-hspiiee of so many old referees, and would 'gladly welcome applications from members of The old association." The remainder of the proposals were rejected. The chairman and the secretary IMr. C. W. Oram) were appointed a deputation to place the terms of this resolution before a deputation from the old association.
