Mr. Hosking, : K.C., Dean Fitchett, and Dr. Colquhoun I made appropriate speeches. The secre- , tary reported that there was a paid ' membership of 447 members and associates, and a school membership of 1841. , The income for the year was over £440. < The Otago branch is the largest numeri- ' cally and financially in the Dominion, j Mr. James Allen, M.P., was elected pre- 1 sident. t NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR. ' NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. Mt. J. B. Connett has been re-elected chairman of the Harbour Board. Be stated that before the nest annual meeting direct steamers from Home would be using the wharf. The Board passed a resolution urging increased local representation at the ' Local Government Bill Conference, so as _ to give the .borough councils in the die- t trict one representative, the county coun- i cils one, the harbour boards one, and ' other boards one each. , FAMINE PRICES FOR PETROL.
