AUCKLAND BEAT WAITEMATA.
The metropolitan club was successful la 7 a match apainst a team from the Waitemata Club, playid or. the Otahuhu links, winning by S games to "_' after a number of close and keenly-fought contests. The first pair only decided their match at the 17th preen, where Colbeck beat Howden 2 up and 1 to play. Penman and ilickle notched the two wins for Waitemata by beating MacConnick and H. Horton 3 up and 1 in each case. Two lof the matches went to the home sreen. when Saarland holed a brilliant four and i heat Hall by 1 np. and K. Ilorton beat JefI fries by - up.
