The High Court ha~ reversed the decision of the Full Court in the case of a Lithgow miner who was fined for absentmi himself from work. The. Full Court had upheld the appeal against the Police Court decision convicting the absentee. The question involved is -whether the dismissal of a union delegate for absenting himself without permission to attend a meeting can be constituted a reasonable cause for breaking a contract.
