RAILWAYMEN'S WAGES.
GREAT STRIKE PROBABLE. NEW YOKE, March 26. The manager, of 50 railroads east of Chicago have met the locomotive engineers in conference regarding questions of increases and the standardisation of wages. A deadlock followed, and no agreement was arrived at.
A referendum of -he men will be taken on the delegates' action, and if it is up* held a great strike may take place.
