Great public interest has been evinced in the military camps in which the territorials have been during the past few weeks undergoing -.heir first field training. Our npDer illustration shows the arrangement of the camp at Hamilton, In each bell tent were a-commodated 8 men, and as the service capacity of these tents is estimated at 22, the amount of room per individual was ample. The cooking was done in one area by different cooks for various corps away to the left of the picture, ample wholesome foodi being allowed; while to the right will be noticed the large entertainment tent. In the Hamilton camp about 500 young men enrolled in the technical branches of the service were put through a practical course of training. The lower photos were taken on the occasion of the inspection of the infantry camp at Papatoetoe last Tuesday by the Governor, Lord Islington. On the right his Excellency will be noticed addressing the men.
