■■ ■■ ■ m • • — CONDE3INED BY FABMEBS. UNION RECOMMENDS ELECTIVE EXECUTIVE. The following suggestions have been made by the Auckland executive, of tha Farmers' -Union to the various branches as a matter for discussion at tbe annual conference: — (1) That tbte conference affirms the principle of non-party government for this Dominion, and considers that the time has come when the pre-' sent party system should be superseded by some form of government by elective executive as being the form ot government calculated to carry hrfo effect more truly the views of the ektors and tend to elimii—tc from th* polities of the Dominion tbe many evils iVhich have grown up arpitjd the party system." (2) That a committee be ap pointed by the Dominion Conference to consider the drafting of a scheme o! government by elective executive for this country in order that the Farmers* Union may be able to enter on an active campaign to bring this principle clearly before the electors of the Dominion.*
