The following are the assay resuiU made at tha Thames Sobool of Mines, of samples from Corbettfs reef, taken trader the supervision of the directbrec—'First : 2 feet from the hangingwaD, 5/; next 2 feet, 3/9; next 2 feet, 16/6; next i foot, £2 18s 2d; last 9 inches, £2 7 s 6d- A general sample taken from wall to wall .in the roof of the drive gave £4 10% 9d per ton. WAIOTABH. A telegram from Mr. Warne, supervisor for the main crosscut at 1000 fooa level was posted on the Exchange this morning as follows:—''Main crosscut 1000 feet leevel, intersected reef formation about six inches in width."
