In answer to her husband she said he asked her sister to take her away, as a few weeks' rest would do her good, because he said he was afraid she was goir.g out of her mind. Her husband's mother had given clothing to her children. She went on her knees to her husband! beside the bed last night, and pleaded with him to let the eaee be withdrawn and live together properly. He replied that she had offended his mother.

The husband, when called, said his wife really wanted medical' treatment. He had nothing against his wife. She looked after beT home all right. He did not neglect his wife, and denied any acts of cruelty. The husband's mother said she had never interfered, except in the interests of her daughter-in-law.
