It was pointed out that the traffic there was about three tanaa greater than at Renroera. It wu also urged that roee should be made a stopping place lor the Wellington express. In reply, the Hon. Mr. Millar declared that the Auckland suburban traffic alreadv mean a loas of £30,000 a year to the Department, and this nqSest would, if granted, man as additional expenditure of £ 150 or £IBO a ymr.
