SOUTHLAND WOOL SALES.
GOOD PRICES REALISED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. At the wool sale to-day, a remarkable feature was the high price paid for crossbred ewes' wool, which fetched 9d. to IOJd. per lb.; crossbred hogget brought 10id. to Hid.; bellies and pieces, 6d. to Hid. Values were equal to those of the Duncdin sales, considering the quality, which had been affected by wet weather. There was keen competition by a Bradford buyer for crossbred ewe wool. A smaller percentage than usual was passed in. The catalogues comprised over fifteen thousand bales.
