| XOSTHCOTB ' SCHOOL COM3ITrTI3E." _ Mr F. M. King presided over-tlie-monthly meeting of the above committer, last evening in the Schoolroom, the headmaster (Mr. Aif. Taylor) reported 530 scholars on'the roll, with an average attendance ot 473. At. the recent examinations 34 scholars gained certificates of proficiency.out of a tfumfier of' 36, one securing a. certificate'of competency. - -A- "memo, ."was -«da«d -by—the". inspector congratulating, the Jieadmwrter.on ; the high standard-of work accomplished, particularly in tire Sixth Standard, this percentage being, the highest of any school in the Auckland district. The chairman announced that he had decided to donate ft''gold medal to Master- Waldron Wilson and a sirrer one to Miss Dorothy Van ¥een for the most marks and general proficiency. Resolutions thanking Mr. W.' M. King for the practical Interest shown "In the school, the headmaster, and the teaching staff were carried •unanimously.
