SWIMMING. : - PONSOXBY T, A DIES' SWTMMTNG CLtTB. The general meeting of the above club •was held last Thursday in the Leys Institute, there "being a large numbej of ladies ■present, also delegates turn the Ponsonby Men's Club. Mrs W. Fatefcerson presided. The annual report, which was adopted, showed that th<2 club hatf * credit balance of £ll 2s, which shows «in increase of £6 7s on last year's credit balar ce. A swimming carnival held during the yew was referred ■to, and the report highly satisfactory. The Incoming committee intend holding.»two - carnivals for the coming -year. ■ Severe) trophies were donated, vl3. :—£2 2s, Fonsonbv Men's Clnb: £1 Is, Mr Spencer; £1 Is, Mr Mackay: £1 Is, Mr Matthews. The following officers were elected i—Secretary, Miss E. Cattery: -treasurer, Miss L. Mackay ; committee, Mrs W. Patterson, Mrs Davey, H. Taylor, M- Boss, Miss Tiernan, M. Blaltle, Miss Gresham.
