At the eonclnsion of the speeches at Devonport last evening Mr Harris and a .mrmber of his supporters adjourned to lane's Tea Rooms: and held an impromptu convivial gathering. Some exHarris left the building and there were no vehicles available for his use. A crowd of some hundreds followed the successful candidate as he walked out to his home at Takapona, and alternative, cheering and hootiHg ensued. However, the temper of the crowd was good-natur-.
