ON THE VERGE OF WAR.
AUSTRIA AITS ITALY. OVER BOMBARDMENT OF PREVEZA. (Received 11.10 a.m.) BERLIN, December 14. The "Brunswick Zc .tung" declares that the bombardment of Preveza brougs* Austria, and Italy to the verge of war. Austria's strong note, insisting on "the recall of the Italian fleet, was almost an ultimatum. Italy agreed to the demand. AMERICA'S LITTLE WAR. (Received 11.35 a.m.) MANILA, December 14. Scouts operating against the outlaws in Mindanao killed forty-two in a single engagement. The scouts had no casualties.
