FALLS INTO FLOODED RTVER. LOSES HIS WAY IN A FOG. r', (Beceived S a.m.) LOXDOX. December 3. The Marquis of Waterford. Henry de la Poer Beresford. a nephew of Admiral Lord Charles Beresford. was found drowned in the Rn->r Cloda.gh, adjoining iis residence at. Curraghinore. near Portlaw, County VViekford. He had apparently lost his way in a thick fog at night, and fallen into the ewollen stream.

His estate extended ovei (56,7 00 acres nf fertile eountry, and In had displayed considerable skill am business acumen in its administration He was educated at Eton and subse quently joined the Royal Horse Guard: as Lieutenant. He was later Lieutenant in the Woreestershire Regiment, and was Lieutenant-Colonel of the South Irelanc Yeomanry. In ISOT. two years after sue ceeding to the title, he married the Mar quess of Lansdowne’s younger daughter and is survived by two sons and three daughters. The new Marquis, the Ear of Tyrone, is ten years of age.
