Notwithstanding the complaint made by Mr. Justice Edwards at the Supreme Court yesterday against the '"attempted upsetting of the whole judicial system of the Do-minion"' by members of the Auckland bar being unprepared to proceed with civil cases at the appointed times there was still a blank sheet when hrs Honor inquired this morning whether any banco business was in readiness. The Judge then intimated that as Thursday next is election day, and as he would not detain jurors on criminal cases from exercsing their franchise privilege, no criminal court will be held on that day. Therefore, if any civil business was in readiness he would take it then. The civil sittings of the Court "were accordingly adjourned until 10 on Thursday morning.
